Project Name:
The Villas at Miraval
Location:
5000 E. Via Estancia, Tucson
Scope of Work:
This project consisted of providing and installing the exterior wall systems in 10 separate villas. The scope of work also included providing and installing a high-end Venetian plaster interior wall finish.
Exterior Finish:
Western One Kote with Semi Imperfect Smooth Finish – Two coats were applied to prevent cracking.
Interior Finish:
Interior Venetian Plaster on Level 5 Smooth Finish Walls.
The Venetian plaster interior finish was a detailed and extensive application process. It included 7 steps: primer, plaster, sand, plaster again, sand again, and a special sealer on top.
Challenges:
This project presented several challenges. A lot of the interior work had to be fixed due to gas and water leaks. Additionally, some electrial features and audio equipment had been installed in the wrong place which required us to go back and do a lot of repairs and patch work. Once all repairs were done, the end-project turned out beautiful, ultimately meeting the standard of the world-renowned Miraval.
